Mr. Lin was CEO/Responsible Officer/Executive Director, lead the IPO of the first private sector Public Listed REIT (Prosperity REIT; SEHK 808) in December 2005. Prosperity REIT [is a Hong Kong collective investment scheme authorized under section 104 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong). Prosperity REIT owns a diverse portfolio of seven high-quality properties in the decentralized business districts of Hong Kong, comprising all, or a portion of, three Grade A office buildings, one commercial building, two industrial/office buildings and one industrial building, with a total gross rentable area of about 1.28 million sq. ft.
Prior to that, Mr. Lin was the head of Asset Management Division of Sino Land and oversee six business units, include Leasing & Marketing, Asset Enhancement, Estate Management, Car Park, Security and Cleaning Companies with over 5,700 staff in Hong Kong.
Mr. Lin was the Director of Hang Lung (China) Ltd. (Stock Code 101) and Head of China operation since 1993, in charge of the two landmark projects in Shanghai, “The Grand Gateway” (Nominated as one of the best shopping mall for the last 20 years) and “Plaza 66” (Nominated as the most influential commercial development since the opening of the China market in the past 30 years).
Mr. Lin was with TODCO back in the late 70’s and early 80’s in San Francisco, California involved in 4 Senior Housing Projects in Yerba Buena Garden. It’s part of an 87-acre urban redevelopment project and is recognized as one of the top 30 urban parks in the nation. With a mixture of housing, open space, cultural facilities, children’s facilities, a convention centre, and commercial development. San Francisco and the community have transformed the area into a model for how to improve public space and urban areas. Yerba Buena’s economic impact is considerable. Beyond bringing in tourist and tax dollars, the project has shown a promising ability to generate jobs. The spirit of cooperation continues between the private and public sectors as part of model that has stood the test of time.
